The Thinking Digital Conference are looking for five promising startups to do a 3 minute pitch to a panel of stars from the startup world, as well as to large live audience of startup fans, amplifiers, possible partners and financiers. If you’re one of our chosen five, you’ll get a free pass to Thinking Digital 2012 (or 2013 if you already have one), some great exposure and experience and a chance to win two great prizes designed to help your startup. The competition has 2 phases:
THINKING DIGITAL UNIVERSITY
On Tuesday afternoon, 29 May you’ll be part of the Startup Competition session at the Thinking Digital University. You will be eased into the session with an hour-long panel about the startup experience, and then after a short break the competition will begin. You will have 3 minutes to wow the panel and audience with your idea, after which the panel will give their comments and then turn it over to the audience who will pick a winner from the five competitors. The judges will confer as to who was the runner up and these top two will go forward to pitch again during the main Thinking Digital Conference.
THE FINAL @ THINKING DIGITAL CONFERENCE
The top two (or possibly three) competitors from the Thinking Digital University phase will come forward and battle it out in front of the full Conference audience of 500 people. Thinking Digital are expecting another 300+ to join the conference via the Livecast locations in the North West and across the world. Thinking Digital has trended at No 1 on Twitter in the UK for each of the last two years during the conference so it’s a wonderful opportunity to get some exposure to a highly targeted audience. In addition to the kudos of winning the first ever Thinking Digital Startup Competition there will also be a great prize tailored to help make your startup a winner.
The judges for the first ever Thinking Digital Startup Competition are:
- Paul Smith - ignite100
- Courtney Boyd-Myers - The Next Web
- Richard Exley - Northstar Ventures
- Herb Kim - Codeworks
